Deal Terms

Round size

It refers to the total amount of capital raised by a startup during a funding round.

Round

It refers to a specific instance of fundraising by a company, where it seeks investment from external sources, often categorized by series (e.g., Series A, B) in the startup ecosystem.

Pre-money valuation

Pre-money valuation refers to the value of a company before it receives new investments. It's a measure used in funding rounds to determine how much a company is worth before external capital is raised, while post-money valuation includes the investment.

For example, if a company is valued at $5 Mn pre-money and receives a $1 Mn investment, its post-money valuation is $6 million.
